SODIUM BICARBONATE is used to create gas in the stomach for some contrast studies of the stomach.
This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.

They need to know if you have any of these conditions: - any problems of the throat, stomach, or intestines like blockage, perforation, or surgery
- low sodium diet
- an unusual or allergic reaction to sodium bicarbonate, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
- pregnant or trying to get pregnant
- breast-feeding
How should I use this medicine?

This medicine is taken by mouth. It is usually given by a health care professional in a hospital or clinic setting.
Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. This medicine is not approved for use in children.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.

Do not take this medicine with any of the following: This medicine may also interact with the following:- antibiotics like ciprofloxacin, doxycycline, tetracycline
- aspirin and aspirin-like medicines
- delavirdine
- ephedra, Ma Huang
- itraconazole, ketoconazole
- lithium
- methenamine
- norfloxacin
- quinidine
- quinine
- stimulants like amphetamine, dexmethylphenidate, and others
- tolmetin
